Starting a career in the disability sector can feel overwhelming especially if you’re new to the industry or new to Australia. The Disability Sector Starter Pack at Bright Lilly College is designed to help you become job-ready, confident, and prepared to work safely and professionally in disability support roles.

This non-accredited, face-to-face training program focuses on practical, real-world skills that employers expect from entry-level disability support workers.

Course Content

Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a:
Certificate of Completion – Disability Sector Starter Pack (Non-Accredited)

The Disability Sector Starter Pack is designed to help learners become job-ready quickly, supporting access to part-time or full-time employment in the disability sector while studying or transitioning into care work.

This course is ideal for:

  • International students seeking early employment in Perth
  • New entrants to the disability sector
  • Support workers starting their first role
  • Students wanting workplace readiness before job applications
  • Workers transitioning from aged care or other care sectors
  • Anyone wanting to build confidence before starting shifts

No previous disability sector experience is required.

Upon successful completion, participants will be able to:

Terms and Conditions
Enrolment

  • Enrolment is confirmed once payment is received in full.
  • Participants must provide accurate personal details at enrolment.
  • Bright Lilly College reserves the right to refuse enrolment at its discretion.

Fees and Payments

  • Course fees must be paid prior to course commencement unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD).
  • Fees are subject to change without prior notice.

Cancellations and Refunds

  • Cancellations made 7 days or more before the course date may be eligible for a refund or transfer.
  • Cancellations made less than 7 days before the course are non refundable.
  • Non attendance on the day will result in forfeiture of fees.
  • In exceptional circumstances, Bright Lilly College may consider credit or transfer at its discretion.

Course Changes

  • Bright Lilly College reserves the right to reschedule or cancel a course due to unforeseen circumstances or low enrolments.
  • If a course is cancelled by Bright Lilly College, participants will be offered a full refund or transfer to another date.

Attendance and Participation

  • Full attendance and active participation are required to receive a Certificate of Attendance.
  • Late arrivals or early departures may impact certification.

Non Accredited Training Disclaimer

  • This course is non accredited and does not lead to a nationally recognised qualification or unit of competency.
  • Completion does not authorise participants to administer medication independently.
  • Participants must always work under organisational policies, delegation, and supervision.

Workplace Responsibility

  • It is the employer’s responsibility to ensure workers are competent, supervised, and working within their scope of practice.
  • Bright Lilly College is not responsible for workplace decisions related to medication delegation.

Health and Safety

  • Participants must comply with all health and safety instructions during training.
  • Any health conditions that may affect participation should be disclosed prior to training.
Privacy

  • Personal information is collected and stored in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
  • Information will only be used for training and administrative purposes.

Code of Conduct

  • Participants are expected to behave respectfully and professionally.
  • Bright Lilly College reserves the right to remove participants for inappropriate behaviour without refund.
